For the next sharing event at Platfform 2, we’ll be joined by curator, researcher and educator Lucy A. Sames.

Lucy will host a workshop around water, wells, witchcraft, bodies and excess, to explore ways of thinking together, imaginatively, about how water might model sociality, or togetherness. The session will be guided by ideas from feminisms and queerness, and will include invitations to participate in a number of exploratory activities carried out together, including discussion, shared reading and collective drawing.

This will be an informal event where everyone is invited to contribute and participate if and however they wish. There is no required reading or preparation and no expectation of any prior knowledge around the ideas we’ll be exploring. All welcome.

Lucy A. Sames is a curator, researcher and educator living in Goytre, south of Abergavenny. She recently received her Doctorate in curatorial practice around ideas of posthuman feminist ‘liquid excess’ from Northumbria University Newcastle. She lectures in Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, University of London and UWE Bristol, and in Art and Psychology at University of Worcester. She is curator and convener of Wet Rest; a core member of the Liquidity Cohort at MARs, Goldsmiths; a member of the Social Morphology Research Unit in the Anthropology Department and Slade School of Art at University College London (UCL); and was previously a Co-Director and Co-Curator at Res, London.
