Criw Celf
Spring 2013 - present
Criw Celf is a creative programme for young people aged 11-18 who are passionate about the visual arts. The project boosts young people’s artistic skills, knowledge and confidence as well as encouraging creative careers. We introduce the group to artists, makers, designers and creative industry professionals through inspirational workshops, studio, gallery visits, talks etc. Artists and young people work collaboratively, alongside each other. The programme has a focus on developing critical thinking skills and creative problem solving.
Peak delivers Criw Celf for young people who live and/or are educated in South Powys. It is therefore a great opportunity to meet other like-minded creative people in the area. It is normally delivered across two programmes (11-14 yrs) and (15-18yrs) which are both an intensive week of workshops delivered in half-term breaks/Summer holidays. There are a limited number of places available on each programme.
Responding to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, our Criw Celf programme for 2021 will likely be a blend of both physical and digital workshops. To find out more the programme this year and how you can get involved, please contact info@peak.cymru
Criw Celf South Powys is funded by the Arts Council of Wales and Powys County Council and is part of the national Criw Celf initiative. Our partners: Oriel Davies, deliver Criw Celf in the North of the County, as well as Aberystwyth Arts Centre delivering a programme for young people in Ceredigion.
